La Perlas won the last 2 games against La Conchita 1st game: 5-4 , 2nd game 7-4.
We are in 2nd place!
20 wins 8 losses.
Party at La Perlas
Sun 20 5pm.
Semi finals start in 5 weeks. 1st week of July. Thank you for all the support for the team!!!

New season has started!
The team sells raffles and I sell bumper stickers. The team members also contribute to pay for the umpires. Any contribution helps, (also used gloves etc.) so if you are a baseball fan, please contact me at sherrie@surfsidepotrero.net

La Perlas and it goes to support the team!!!
Each game costs the teams $30 for 2 umpires for 2 games each Sunday. They also need to buy balls and bats. Now the team has to make trips by bus. There can be approximately 4 - 6 trips per season.
Many have contributed to help with these expenses as well as donating equipment and even the backstop at the field. The team also contributes by collecting money at some games to cover expenses and has also paid some towards the bus trips.

You can help. Print out this word document or PDF and distribute them to your neighbors. Please look around your property and eliminate standing water. Even a bottle cap can breed 100's of mosquitoes. Look at everything! Personally, we are putting old cooking oil and used coffee grounds in standing water that can not be eliminated.
Remember, mosquitoes that can carry dengue are most active in the hours around sunset and sunrise! Try to avoid going to high dengue areas like Santa Cruz or at least go during less active hours and wear mosquito repellent!
The Surfside Residents Association gave $1000 (half of the cost of the fogger) to the ASA Water Board Association and ASA will pay for the other half to purchase the fogger. The Water Board ASA will be taking care of everything else! We hope to see the first application soon! Thank you SRA members and the Water Board!
